Who We Are

The RESET Scorecard™, The RESET Method™, and RESET Consult™ (collectively, "RESET," "we," "us," or "our") are wellness self-assessment and educational tools created and operated by Alexandru I. Cojanu, M.D., Williamsburg, Virginia. The RESET Scorecard™, The RESET Method™, and RESET Consult™ are part of the Calibrated Arc™ intellectual property system. You can reach us at admin@myvipps.com or 804-362-3332.

What This Policy Covers

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use resetscorecard.com, take The RESET Scorecard™ assessment, or otherwise interact with our wellness content. It does not cover information you provide directly to VIPPs or any other clinical practice in the course of receiving actual medical or psychiatric care — that information is governed by that practice's separate Notice of Privacy Practices, provided at the time care begins.

Important: How We Treat Your Health-Adjacent Information

The RESET Scorecard is a general wellness self-assessment. It is not a diagnostic tool, and using it does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Depending on how our practice is structured, this website and the information you submit through it may fall outside the scope of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). Regardless of whether HIPAA technically applies, we have chosen to handle your information with safeguards modeled on those used for protected health information, because your answers concern your wellbeing and because this tool is operated under the name of a licensed physician. We also comply with the FTC Health Breach Notification Rule, applicable state consumer health data laws (including Washington's My Health My Data Act and California's Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act), and other applicable law.

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

  • Contact information: full name, email address, and (if provided) phone number, age, and sex.
  • Your responses to the 25 RESET Scorecard assessment questions.
  • Any information you provide voluntarily if you book a RESET Consult or contact us directly.

Information we do not collect: We do not use third-party advertising trackers (such as the Meta/Facebook Pixel or similar ad-tech cookies) on this site.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

  • Calculate and deliver your RESET Scorecard results.
  • Prepare for and personalize a RESET Consult, if you choose to book one.
  • Communicate with you about your results or an upcoming consult.
  • Improve the RESET Scorecard assessment and related content over time (using de-identified or aggregated data wherever possible).

If you book a RESET Consult, the information you provide through the RESET Scorecard is reviewed by your clinician using an internal, password-protected tool to prepare your personalized 7/30/90-day action plan ahead of and during your session. This internal tool is accessible only to authorized clinical staff and is not accessible to the public.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your individual assessment responses with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

How We Store and Protect Your Information

Your assessment responses and contact information are transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection to a private, server-side endpoint. The destination that receives and stores your information is not exposed in this website's public code and cannot be accessed directly by the public. Your information is then stored in a Google Workspace environment restricted to authorized RESET/VIPPs staff. We limit access to your information to personnel who need it to prepare your consult or operate the assessment.

We retain your information for 24 months from your last interaction with us, or until you request deletion, whichever is sooner.

Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your information.
  • Opt out of further communication from us at any time (every email we send includes an unsubscribe option).
  • Withdraw the consent you gave at the time you submitted your assessment.

California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and the right to limit use of sensitive personal information. Washington residents have rights under the My Health My Data Act, including the right to withdraw consent for collection or sharing of consumer health data and the right to request deletion. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at admin@myvipps.com.

Breach Notification

If a breach of your unsecured personal health information occurs, we will notify you — and, where required, the Federal Trade Commission and/or relevant media — consistent with the FTC's Health Breach Notification Rule (16 CFR Part 318) and any applicable state law, without unreasonable delay.

Emergency Situations

This tool is not monitored in real time and is not equipped to respond to emergencies. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis or thoughts of harming yourself or others, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911 immediately. Do not rely on this website for emergency support.

Children's Privacy

This assessment is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information to us, contact us at admin@myvipps.com and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated to active subscribers via email where practicable.
